Containership fire safety

Fires on containerships pose a serious risk, and as cargo ships grow in size, the impact of incidents grows as well, exposing the shipping industry to greater losses of both assets and human lives.

Fires on containerships pose a serious risk, and as cargo ships grow in size, the impact of incidents grows as well, exposing the shipping industry to greater losses of both assets and human lives.

Based on experience from conducting the IMO Formal Safety Assessment (FSA) procedure for improving fire safety on container ships, DBI offers systematic approach-based consultancy within:

  • analysis of economic costs of the various solutions identified, and
  • development of documentation and recommendations.
