Burglary Investigation
Obtain reliable and impartial documentation
With a burglary investigation from DBI, you get reliable and impartial documentation regarding existing or missing signs of a burglary. This provides the best basis for decision-making in cases involving recourse, classification of burglary/theft, or suspicion of fraud.
During a burglary investigation, a DBI security advisor visits a suspected burglary site with two purposes: to identify any physical signs of breaking and entering, and to assess whether the entity had been properly locked prior to the incident.
With this goal, DBI investigates buildings (both private and commercial) to determine if e.g. security system components, are of a lower security class than the security level requires, if there was a break-in through a locked door or window, or if there are signs of a staged burglary.
The investigation results are documented in a written conclusive report accompanied by e.g. photos, sketches, or floor plans. The certainty of the conclusion varies based on the technical evidence available. In some cases, there are explicit conclusions, while in others, varying degrees of certainty. In some cases, it is not possible to conclude anything based on the technical evidence.
