I began my international shipping career at Maersk, where I was involved in establishing regional logistics offices and services in East Africa and managing capacity on the Asia-Europe trade lanes. Over the past 15 years, I have focused on representing and supporting the Danish maritime equipment industry globally as Head of Danish Export's marine network, while also working with technical damage control, particularly in the energy and marine sectors.
As the newest addition to DBI's maritime team, I bring extensive experience in the marine industry dating back to 1994. My background includes working with fire extinguishing systems, specialized fire pumps for offshore, as well as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and cooling systems.
As a team leader with extensive experience in construction fire testing, Christian maintains an overview and think outside the box to find innovative solutions for the maritime industry. Additionally, he acts as the key point of contact between the rest of DBI and our subsidiary, DBI Certification A/S, thereby assisting clients in utilizing our broader competencies.
Master of Science in civil engineering with several years of practical experience conducting full-scale fire tests in accordance with IMO FTP Part 3 and material fire tests in accordance with Part 5. Additionally, I am involved in the revision of the FTP Code as a consultant for the Danish Maritime Authority (DMA).
Dan is DBI's maritime oracle and can answer (almost) any question. He has worked extensively with fire testing and product development within the maritime sector for many years. Dan is the go-to person for clients seeking consultation in their product development efforts. He also spends his free time in maritime environments and sails on vacation in his boat every year.
I bring extensive experience in outcome-oriented projects and research and innovation consultancy. My long experience in DBI has centered around business development specialized in advancing fire safety within the maritime industry. I now focus on disseminating technical expertise related to maritime fire safety and PtX-technologies.
I am a Master Mariner and my background experience covers areas of Experienced Special Advisor within the Danish Maritime Authority, Nautical Advisor on Safety, National Expert on International Maritime Regulations and as a Chief Officer in Maersk Group. As a Senior Project Manager in DBI I specialize in safety for green fuels and container ships.
As a seasoned professional with a diverse background in the maritime industry, my career spans roles as a dual ship's officer, ship surveyor, and marine accident investigator. I am particularly focused on creating an understanding of the interaction between people, technology, and organizations, and how the complexity of such interactions affects system performance.
With a background in construction management, architectural technology and a master’s degree in techno-anthropology, my field of expertise revolves around risk assessment and architectural solution management. My specialization revolves around the inclusion of the human factor in various fire and maritime safety-scenarios.
