Company course: Hot work

Are there more people in your company who need a course in hot work in english? Then a company course can be an easy and flexible solution.

Every year, fires occur when roofing, welding, cutting, angle grinding, soldering, drying, heating, weed burning and other forms of hot work.

These fires should not happen because it is possible to turn hot work into fireproof work with care and the proper knowledge.

On this course, the students learn to plan and carry out hot work safely.

Two types of hot work courses
DBI offers two different courses in hot work: "Hot work - fire prevention measures for spark-inducing tools" or "Hot work - fire prevention measures for roofing work."

Location
We are happy to come to your company and conduct the course; it only requires:
  • Suitable space with white walls or a canvas and a projector. We bring our own laptop.
  • A suitable practice area, which should be open and not too close to cars and buildings.
You can also choose to hold the company course in our facilities in Hvidovre, Fredericia, Aarhus, or Frederikshavn.

Duration
The course lasts for 7.4 hours and typically takes place from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Certificate and Course Certificate
The course concludes with a multiple-choice exam. Upon passing the exam, participants receive a DBI hot work certificate. Course certificates are sent to the E-box.

Cancellation:
After an agreement has been made for the course, the following applies:
The course can be canceled free of charge up to 14 days before the course start. If the course is canceled between 8 and 14 days before the course start, 50% of the course fee will be charged. If the course is canceled less than 8 days before the course start, the full course fee will be charged.

Course content

Students learn to work safely with machines and tools that give off sparks or intense heat.

Participants who successfully complete the training receive a qualification certificate. A hot work certificate is also issued, which is valid for 5 years throughout the Nordic region. The certificate is valid in Denmark, Norway and Finland, where this course is required to perform hot work. The course also follows CFPA Europe’s training programme and CFPA Guideline No. 12.

Course yield

  • Take the precautionary safety measures to be taken when carrying out hot work that gives off sparks or heat which may cause a fire at the workplace.
  • Perform fire safety correct hot work with spark-inducing tools, such as cutting torches, angle grinders, soldering tools or hot air guns.
  • Take the necessary fire safety precautions before starting work.
  • Organise the workplace and take precautions at work to ensure fire safety and follow the fire safety rules that apply.
  • Conduct firefighting at the workplace.

Course requirements

Since both the teaching and the final exam are in English, it is a prerequisite for participating in the course that you can understand English.
