Impact Event: Project METAFUEL – Results, method and alternative green fuels

Course code: me2h2025

We invite you to join our Impact event, where DBI's research unit, Energy & Transport, share valuable insights into the results of the METAFUEL project – a recently completed R&D project in collaboration with ShippingLab – focusing on the safe implementation of alternative fuels in the maritime sector.

We present one of the project’s core deliverables: a decision support tool (Decision Matrix Tool), which aims to help maritime actors identify risks, compare and make safe choices in the work with alternative fuels.

You will also experience live fire demonstrations of Methanol and Hydrocarbon Pool Fires and a Hydrogen Jet Fire.
